Dear friends and fellow citizens, my name is Nikola Parun, I am a taxpayer and I would like to welcome you to the Third taxpayers March.<\/p>\n
We stand here, proudly gathered under the parole “Defend the wallet”, to show that there are people bothered with our government’s reckless spending! We are fed up with taxes and with bureaucracy! We are speaking out upset with the fact that we are left with only half of our paycheck and that the other half the government takes. We are standing here, in front of governmental institutions which tax our work ferociously, not caring at all for our wallets.<\/p>\n
Dear friends, it is important to us for you to know that we stand today with you before the governmental institutions, but that should not be enough. Just as it did yesterday, and as it will tomorrow, Libek has tried and will continue to try to find all possible solutions in the name of all of us, taxpayers, to rock those institutions and to make an influence considering their work. During the past year we have talked with ministers, national representatives, citizen associations and entrepreneurs, proposed useful solutions for all taxpayers and responded to violations of human rights. We engaged in work with the Economic Caucus of the National assembly, offering new solutions directly to the national representatives, solutions which are becoming synonymous with the parole “Defend the wallet”. Simultaneously we have educated young people and trained them to be rebellious, to be the ones that research, who question and propose!<\/p>\n
Dear friends, it is Libek’s mission to be the voice of all of you who have been hampered with taxes. All of you whose priorities aren’t the working hours but the job well done! All of you who believe that a free society is possible! To those of you who work bravely and are devoted to your work!<\/p>\n
Your work doesn’t deserve to be subjected to the reckless government spending! The money you earn doesn’t belong to anyone (more) but you. And where is the money? Where is the 40% of your earnings? In systems which are bottomless wells. In the pockets of bureaucrats. In useless subsidies. Where is your gross salary? Where is your hard work? This meeting is a point where we vouch to you that we will continue to fight for lower taxes, that we will react to every new pressure on our wallets and to yell every time our freedoms get violated. Here we vouch to never close an eye and not to criticize without offering solutions! That is our duty before you! Dear friends, we have came out with a substitutional preposition for lowering taxes on work which is available at our website. That proposal is the reason for which we are here. This march is going to be harder than it was in the years before! We will not march without troubles, because not even the employed can do it. We will not march full steam ahead, because the economy cannot follow. This march we will carry the burden of the taxes. The burden is big! It will get in the way, but not as much as it gets in the way of the unemployed! It will make us trip, but not as it trips the entrepreneurs! It will make our march harder, but it makes the lives of the employed even harder! Our goal is the Ministry of finance – the only place where these taxes can be lowered!
