A specialized program for intellectual enthusiasts interested in the political history of the 20th century.

Broad and thorough insight into the origin, development and all the most important features of totalitarian movements, regimes and prominent personalities.

In addition to the Public Policy Academy, Introduction to the Studies of Totalitarianism is one of our most significant educational programs. This program is attended by individuals particularly interested in the political history of the XX century, the history of ideologies and the emergence, development and decline of totalitarian movements and regimes.

Within this program, along with lectures by prominent experts in this field, participants are introduced to preconditions for the birth of totalitarian regimes, the ways in which they come to power, the mechanisms through which stay in power, as well as their disintegration and legacy.

A special segment of this program includes the psychology of the authoritarian personality, but also the position of the individual in totalitarian regimes.

Within the program, we also deal with complex relations between totalitarianism and economics, science, technology, culture, art and religion, media and propaganda.

We also consider contemporary circumstances that may be related to the future of totalitarianism.

In addition to lectures and additional creative content, the program also includes an interactive tour of the locations relevant to the studies of totalitarianism “Century of Terror in Belgrade”.

The program Introduction to the Studies of Totalitarianism was completed in December 2020 by the fourth generation of students, and enrollment of the next fifth generation is in April 2021.
