President of Libek, Miloš Nikolić participated as a member of delegation of International Republican Institutes (IRI) at 8th Ministerial Conference of Community of Democracies which took place in San Salvador (El Salvador) from 22 to 24 July this year. The main topic of this conference was marking fifteen years of Warsaw declaration and discussion about current state of democracies worldwide.
Community of democracies is intergovernmental coalition consist of official representatives from public institutions, NGO and private sector of member states. Conference was divided into three working segments: day of fora with three parallel forums: youth forum, private sector forum and civil society forum; second day with plenary meeting about state of democracies worldwide and other sessions dealing with journalists, political participation of women, education for democracy, transparency and internet; and finally ministerial day with discussion, among other things, about relation between democracy and culture of peace explaining also post-conflict peace building process after civil war in El Salvador from 1979 to 1992.
